Meditations Upon Par Par and Moppet
      (and their experience of Fall)

Down the road, slightly farther than once might expect
and in the drudgery of fall,
and by that I mean the end of new beginnings,
I am confident that an imaginary friend will suddenly appear.

And trust me when I say (as if trust is optional)

“It is always a safe assumption to assume that this creature will be known
to sustain itself on a diet of ocean air, day dreams and underwear parties.”

At least among their loving, foggy and bearded woodland friends called Aspen and pine nut.

Well, I spent more than a week trying to come up with a reply worthy of this little gem, but perhaps the Par Par has taken too deep a breath of salty sea air and found herself in someone else’s daydream where she can’t find the words to worthily express her feelings.

hmmmm….. I think it is paramount that you allow me to pontificate in order to alleviate and ultimately elevate. I once knew a doctor who was actually a fish, who once regaled to me that he had made the most unfortunate mistake of taking a deep breath of salty sea water. “Eww gross!” he had exclaimed and muttered, mostly in reaction to what the humans had done to harm the sea. So, upon receiving advice from a humming bird named Barnaboo, who was a neighbor of this fishes’ sister Alice, the good doctor came to an express realization and promptly drank a glass of air while swimming on its head. The fish then went on to no uncertain resolution, to say “If I may good sir and I do, I also suggest ignoring a hummingbird for at least twelve seconds and never mentioning une etoile filante especially while in the arms of a lover.

      Yours truly,

      bum bum goose goose
